From Tokyo |
There are ways to get to
Hakuba from the Tokyo region: |

Take the Chuo Expressway
north until Okaya Junction where you should then take the
Nagano Expressway until the Toyoshina Interchange.
From there, follow Routes 147 and 148 through Omachi
to Hakuba village. |

|
Take the Kanetsu
Expressway to Fujioka Junction changing towards Nagano
on the Joshinetsu Expressway. Take the Nagano
Interchange and follow the Nagano Olympic Road to
Hakuba village. |

From Osaka and the
greater Kansai area |
Take the Meishin
Expressway east towards Nagoya. When you reach
Komaki Junction, take the Chuo Expressway in a
northern direction until Okaya Junction. At
Okaya Junction take the Nagano Expressway until the
Toyoshina Interchange. From there, follow Routes
147 and 148 through Omachi to Hakuba village. |

Train &
bus information |
|
Narita Airport |
Take the Narita Express
to Tokyo or Shinjuku Station. This journey takes
approximately one hour. |

Tokyo Station |
From Tokyo Station, take
the high-speed Asama Shinkansen (bullet train) to
Nagano. This journey takes approximately ninety
minutes. From Nagano Station take a Hakuba-bound
bus (see below). |

Shinjuku Station |
From Shinjuku Station,
take the SUper Azusa Chuo limited express train.
This train goes direct to Hakuba Station and takes
approximately four hours. |

Osaka / Nagoya |
From Osaka and Kyoto
region, take the Sanyo Shinkansen to Nagoya. At
Nagoya, take the Chuo limited express. This
train goes direct to Hakuba Station and takes
approximately four and a half hours. |

Nagano Station |
From Nagano Station,
take the Alpico bus direct to Hakuba. These
buses depart every hour from the East Exit (Higashi-guchi)
of Nagano Station from Bus Stop 6. This journey
takes approximately onr hour. |
